Where are you located?

We are located at A Mermaid's Secret Cafe at 7433 Hwy #6 right in Tobermory.  You can pick up your bicycle for a full day rental or for a 3 hour rental and enjoy a self-guided bicycle tour around Tobermory.

Who can rent bicycles?

Adults, 18 years and older are welcome to rent from Tobermory Bicycle Rentals. We will also rent to an older child if he/she is part of your party, is accompanied by a parent and over 5 feet 3 inches tall.  

How do I pay?

When we deliver the bicycle to you you can pay by Visa, Mastercard or Cash.

How do I secure a reservation?

When you make a reservation by phone or email 50% of the total rental or tour rate will be charged to your credit card to hold your reservation.

What else do I need to do when the bicycle is delivered?

A valid driver's license is needed to fill out the rental agreement and release and waiver documents.  We will do this when the bicycle is delivered.

Do I need to wear a helmet?

As a condition of the rental agreement you must wear a helmet.  You can bring your own or rent one from Tobermory Bicycle Rentals.com. 

What happens if I can not ride when I reserved the bicycle?

If you give us 24 hours notice that you can not ride when you reserved the bicycle, there is no rental fee charged.  If the notice is less than 24 hours the rental fee will be charged.

What happens if I am late for my delivery or pick-up time?

We encourage you to be on time out of respect for other customers who also need their bicycles delivered or are waiting to be picked up.  If you are going to be late you need to call the Reservation Line  519-596-8843 to notify us when you will be ready. 

What happens if it rains on the day I have reserved a bicycle?

Riding in the rain is not fun, low visibility causes safety concerns, and the rain is not good for the equipment.  If you are on a ride and it starts to rain heavily, get someplace dry.  We will be understanding in handling your return time.  If the day turns bad or the start to the day is bad, you will be given a rain check for another day's rental.

If we can not find a day for your rain check where we have bicycles available, you will be refunded the day rental or deposit.

Where can I ride?

We provide self-guided maps to guide you to the quiet back roads around and south of Tobermory, through the harbour town and around the village of Tobermory, to the National Parks Visitor Center or to the beach for a picnic.  Please do not cycle on the Bruce Trail which is a beautiful foot path for hiking.
