The inaugural Escarpment Celebration Day was on June 21st, 2008.  This event was sponsored by the Coalition of the Niagara Escarpment, Parks Canada, The Ontario Trillium Foundation and Tobermory Bicycle Rentals.  During the Celebration day The World Biosphere sign was unveiled, which is located on the road leading into the Parks Canada Visitors Center.  Local dignatories participated in the celebrations.  Tobermory Bicycle Rentals sponsored the sign.
